Functional Yin Flow & Sound Bath
Functional Yoga was developed and organized into a system by Paul and Suzee Grilley, the creator of Yin Yoga. It is based on the scientifically-proven premise that our skeletons, tissues, physiology, temperament and motivation are made and organized in a way that is uniquely ours.
In Functional Yin Yoga, we learn to see the body as 14 Skeletal Segments & Movements being moved by 10 Muscle Groups: Target Areas, and the 7 Groups of Archetypal Yin Yoga Poses. Each session we will explore the group of archetypal yin poses to accommodate the flexibility & skeletabilty of every student.
Benefits of Yin Yoga Practice:
- Strengthening the connective tissues in the joints
- Increase mobility and flexibility in the joint mobility
- Increase blood flow & deeper breathing in the heart & lungs
- A deep meditative quality that quiet down the overactive mind
You will be further returned to holistic resonance by tuning to Sound Healing using singing bowls, Wind Gong, Tuning Fork and chime to open heart and crown to receive divine energy. This practice will utterly transport you as you lay in rest enveloped in the healing vibrations of Sound Bath. Expect to leave feeling centered, dialed in and ethereal — and don’t be surprised if you get the best night’s sleep of your life!
Sound healing works on the principle that everything in our universe is energy which has a vibration. Everything in existence with the universe is in a vibrational state.
6 main ways that sound healing works:
- Triggers Relaxation Response
- Releases Suppressed Emotions
- Balances Bio-Sound Field
- Entrains Body / Emotions
- Transforms Beliefs
- Engages the healee
- Sets Intentions
The session is set to hold in a small group to allow each participant to have a quality of practice that benefits their well-being.
Wear comfortable clothes to stretch and lay down; bring your own water, a shawl or cardigan to cover yourself and an open heart. Yoga mat is provided.
